To-morrow Mr. T. Lamason sells a large quantity of genuine drapery at his rooms, Broadway. Mr. H. J. Hopkins has a large stock of leather purses, wallets, and pocket books just to band. Messrs. Hobbs and Co. will hold a combined stock sale at their Stratford yards on Tuesday next, March 26th, at 1 p.m. Entries appear in another column. The Waitara Freezing Works is now open to receive bacon pigs. Mr. T. Lamason will conduct an auction sale to-morrow. •Mr. Newton King ■ will hold his Havmarket sale to-morrow. Hannah’s genuine cash bargain sale will last for ten days longer. A special display of all the latest styles in evening shoes will be on view for Easter. The Taranaki Hardware Co., desirous of bringing before the ladies of Stratford the merits’ of the “New Perfection” kerosene stoves, has arranged for a cookery demonstration at their premises on Monday and Tuesday next. As a culinary expert will have charge of the demonstration and afternoon tea will he provided, a pleasant and instructive time should be spent by those ladies attending. A reward is offered for the return sf a gold brooch. The owner of a bay hack mare (aged) is wanted. When a firm that has made its name good for reliability announces the first sale in its history, one may look out for surprises. The Egmont Clothing Company will conduct their first sale during the coming week. It is to be a sale of sales; make money, by buying your winter clothing at the Egmont’s first sale. -x
