SCOTTISH SOCIETY.

TARANAKI PROVINCIAL COUNCIL MEETING.

A committee meeting of the above Society was held in Mr. D. Butchart's rooms, Broadway, on, Wednesday evening, Mr. W. L. Kennedy (the president) being in the chair. A set of rules for the Society was drawn up, submitted to the meeting, and approved. The matter of the formation of a Pipe Band was gone into, and it was decided to take immediate steps for the, establishment of a , band. •- ; IP Was decided to hold a 'social v nd dance in May. A committee was appointed to carry out the necessary arrangements. ■ ■' The first general meeting of the Society is to be "held in the Borough Chambers on Wednesday, 24th April, at 8 p.m.
