As the picture was proceeding the bald head of a gentleman behind who was smothered by a lady wearing a Merry Widow hat, bent down and produced on his cranium “Ladies kindly remove your hats,” and when this had been done, another baldheaded man bent forward and produced the lettering “Thank you.” The picture caused a good deal of laughter, and ladies could be seen in all directions removing" their hats of all descriptions, sizes and shapes, and when the interval came on, and the lights were thrown on, only one lady (with a big hat) could he seen, who had not taken the hint.
