WHAT HAS BEEN DONE

Satisfactory progress is .reported ol the work carried out under the provisions of the Land Settlement Finance Act. Up to March 31, 1911, eleven associations had been incorporated, with a membership of 08 and an area of 9153 acres, valued at £132,802. Since then thirteen associations have been formed as under:— Auckland, five associations, membership 14, area, 0078 acres, purchase money £03,944; Canterbury, four associations,' membership 23, area 4527 acres, purchase money £45,011; Southland, two associations, membership 10, area 4214 acres, purchase money £31,239. Total :13 associations, membership 83, area .14,849 acres, purchase money £l-15,82!. Negotiations for the acquisition of five or six properties in the Auckland district and one in the South Island are now proceeding.
