Newton King's Weekly Report. At the Hay market on Saturday there was a. large attendance. Pigs were penned in moderate numbers, chiefly weaners. Prices ruling were about par with last sale with the exception oi’ small pigs, which were a little easier. I quote: Slips and weaners 10s to 18s Gd, small sorts os to 7s, small porkers Pi 3s 6d, medium do. £1 13s to £1 l-ls. At the* Mart.—Poultry: Hens Is 3d, roosters Is 3d to Is sd. chicks 7d to 9d, turkeys ’hens) 3s. Puiatoes os to 6s i\l ■ hmidjc-lweighi onions lls per cwt. I'urnitii 'c ai d sundries at usual rates. Fruit: About 900 cases of assorted fruit came to hand during the week. Prices ruling were as follows, according to size of cases and quality; Plums, Golden Drop, Is 9d to 3s, Ponds seedling 3s Gd, dark plum 3s, damson Is 9d to 2s Gd, pears, W.8.L., 3s Gd to Is, other sorts 2s to os Gd, apples (dessert) 3s to Gs Gd, cooking ,1s 9d to 3s Gd, peaches No I 3s Gd to .'•« Gd. No. 2 3s, quinces Is 9d to 2s, tomatoes Is to Gs Gd.
