Rain fell last (night, and the weather is dull and threatening to-day. Tiie course is in good going order, but against fast times. The attendance was large. Results:— Omaranui Hurdles.—Morric Lad 1, Seaman 2, Stourton 3. Won easily, half a length between second and third. Time, 3min 19 2-ssec. Scratched : iLamsdorf.

Esk Handicap.—Makara 1, Parewairui’2, Thrave 3. Won easily from a big start. Time, Imin 2 1-ssec. Scratched: Allurement, San Wan, Easy, Pot (Luck, Steliaris, and Hutu.
