A very good entry of poultry was catalogued on Saturday, and prices were satisfactory to .both vendors and purchasers. The vegetable market was very quiet. I quote as follows: Cockerels lOd to Is Bd, roosters ,9d to Is 3d, hens Od to Is 3d, pullets 2s to 2s 6d, ducks Is 3d to Is Gd. About 600 cases of fruit were sold during the week. I quote: Apples Is 6d to 5s Od; peaches 2s to 4s Gd, 3s to Bs, plums 2s to is, barbers 3s Od. ■
