Councillor Paget: Hear, bear. Councillor Boon said tlie present building’.was a disgrace to the town. The Government were continual!/ spending a. few hundred pounds here and there, and the place was rotten now.. If they got to work, and onlisted tiie aid of the Chamber of Commerce, they might got what they wanted. The Deputy-Mayor said the whole place was ent of date, and it certainly was a disgrace to the town. • Councillor Paget: That’s gone to New Plymouth.
Councillor King: If our member had been alive, we would have got that. Councillor Paget: It isn’t the improgressiveness of the member, it’s the unprogrcssivenoss of the town. v Councillor King; If you had put me in, I would have got it. (Laughter.) The motion was carried.
