/ Very good entries of poultry came to 'hand especially cockerels and old -hens and roosters, the tendency at this time of 'the year being to quit rather than to buy. 1 quota:—Hens Is -to Is 6d, roosters 8d to Is 3d, pullets 2s 3d to 3s 6d, cockerels 9d - tbTs 3d,’ ducks ls*4d - to- Is! 9d, geese 2s 6d to-3s 6tl, gobbler 7s.- Vegetables —Good quantities came to ‘hand. Cabbage lOd'to Is per doz., turnip Id'por •bundle, • cauliflmyerq 3s per doz;; potatoes 3s Gd' to 6s 6d.i Quantity, of'drapery also sold 'well. About 600 cases of fruit came '■'forward darting the week. Peaches -2s to 5s 6d, pears 3s to 4s 6d, apples 2s to 6s, tomatoes 2s 3s 6d plums 3s Gel to 4s.
