THE WAIRAU PETITION (Per Press Association.! Dunedin, March 4. In the Wairau petition, after argument, the judge made an order for particulars as to the election expenses to best of petitioners’ knowledge and belief; also that the petitioners are precluded from giving evidence in support of any charge or case in which the particulars have not been delivered, except by consent of the trial court. Particulars arc to be supplied on or before Saturday next. The cost of the summons is to be paid by petitioners to respondent. Italy has annexed Tripoli, at least a Bill lias been passed by the Italian Parliament authorising the annexation, and there has been the usual rational demonstration. It is one tlrng to authorise annexation and quite another to give effect to it. Italy will have to pay a big price in blood and treasure before annexation is c;replete. When the matter is calmly considered it is marvellous how rapidly Crescent Blend Tea annexes new customers. They seem glad to be annexed, for the Tea is captivating, it is good Tea, and good all the time. x
