CROQUET.

On Friday last a team representing the Stratford Croquet Club invaded the Crescent Terrace Club’s (Inglewood) lawns, where they won by the narrow margin of 8 points. The weather was perfect and the lawns faultless, consequently a very enjoyable day resulted. Following are the scores (Stratford players being mentioned first in each case); —- Doubles.—Miss Dingle and Mrs. Hobbs 28 v. Mrs. Hamerton and Mrs. Jacomb 17; Mrs. Curtis and Mrs. Dingle 1G v. Mrs. Howarth and Mrs. Roberts 28; Mrs. King and Miss Moore 2 v. Mrs. Winfield and Mrs. Williams 17. _ Singles.—Mrs. Curtis 28 v. Mrs Howarth 23; Mrs. King 28 v. Mrs. Williams 14. Totals: Stratford 102, Crescent Terrace 99. Stratford R players hope to try conclusions with Inglewood B’s in the near future.
