Southland, resulted in a draw, after r. somewhat uninteresting game. Owing to the delay caused by the bad weather the teams' had ’oiily orte innings each. Otago made 152 (Hopkins 37. Higgins 23, Siedberg 22), and Southland made 135 (Hamilton 61, Hiddleston 22). The latton team batted with ten men. 31 Southland. Rutherford tpok,.fi,ve wickets for 33. and Crockett three for 26.
