To-day arrangements were made for . the inStallatiomof electric light. Last' season carbon arc lamps were used, but were found hardly suitable for the purpose. Following are tlie handicaps of local men who are . competing at the Lltham carnival to-night:—so Yards : Masters 2sec, Kivefl 3sec, Kelly lOsec, Whittington llsec : 75yds : Masters 4sec, Kivell 4sec, Whittington llsec. 100yds: Kivell ssec, Masters 6sec. 225 Yards: Kivell 15sec, Masters 10 sec. In each race Claringbold (Hawera) is on scratch.
A Stratford team is entered for the relay race, Hawera and Eltham teams also competing.
