NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
Messrs. Young, Hobbs and Co. announce their supplementary sheep fair for Wednesday, 23th. Entries appear in another column. The “Stand-Out” Tea Competition has been modified slightly. In future, the .sentences must be composed of words commencing with the letters nominated, but used in the same sequences as sot out in the advertisement. Previously, the initial letters supplied could be used in any order. This is quite a simple competition; yet, it allows scope for cleverness, and the cleverest contributor gets the guinea.
