Saturday next, the 24th inst., is the closing day of Spence’s great summer sale. ■ To-morrow Mr. Newton King s annual ram fair will take place at his Stratford yards. Applications are invited by the Stratford A. and P. Association for •position of secretary to .the Association. . To-morrow hundreds of snips will be offered at Herbert’s sale. Herbert, the up-to-date draper, commences his sale to-morrow. Some special snips are advertised elsewhere. Mr. Newton King’s .umixed cattle sale takes; place at , ,jthe Stratford yards tokhorrow. The Wanganui' ram ' ffiir' will lie held on Tin iVsday and Ffidiiy n'cxt. dt I'.lessrs. Freeman R. Jackson and Co.’s yards. The Lincoln sheep will be sold on the first day, and the Romneys and other breeds on the second day. Porter publishes a notice to ratepayers in another coinmn. An advertiser wants to buy a sound reliable gig horse. Joseph Sharrock gives notice of intention to apply for discharge from bankruptcy. A man to drive cart and assist in store is wanted.
