The executive regretted that there was' hot, a large representation* present'‘a t the contest, and referring to the clash of dates \\ itli the South 'island Association stated that they understand there is a probability of such not occurring again, as there is a .possibility of the South Island Association meeting this Association with a view to amalgamating, which would undoubtedly be better for all parties and decidedly in tiie interests of bands contesting. No application had been made for the 1913 contest, but it was possible that in.the event of amalgamation the next contest would go to the South Island. ’ 1
