Fifteen hundred pounds’ damages were awarded against J,>ck Johnson for breach of contract to appear at music halls for three weeks at 'a salary of £2OO per week. John Roberts is suing George Gray for breach of contract signed in 1910. The High Court ordered that the trial be not postponed despite difficulties in connection with affidavits. Owing to the father being unable to remember whether his son was born in 1891 or 1892 Gray .has sent to Australia for a certificate. AUSTRALIAN CRICKET SQUABBLE. Ircdale has resigned from the l Australian Selection giving as his reason that he is ill-disposed' to sit on a committee with Hill after the recent episode.
