LONDON TALLOW SALES
(Received 8, 9 a.m.) London, February 7. Ta110w.—959 casks were offered and 546 sold. Mutton, fine 365, medium 32s 6d; beef, fine 355, medium 325. JANUARY WOOL SALES. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable from their London house, under date February 3rd: —Wool sales closed. As compared with closing rates of last series, merino, good quality, scoured, unchanged, super-scoured unchanged, inferior faulty scoured 5 per cent, lower, greasy fair to good unchanged, lieavy earthy and wasty 5 per cent, lower; crossbreds, greasy, fine quality, light condition, free from burr, par to ( 5 per cent, higher; medium light condition and bright, par to 5 per cent, higher ; other descriptions unchanged ; scoured crossbreds unchanged; lambs unchanged, inferior and faulty wools, 5 per cent, to 10 per cent, lower. Seven thousand bales were sold to America, 92,000 hales Home consumption, 68,000 bales Continent, 19,000 hales carried forward.
