A mooting of the executive council of the New Zoahihd 'Athletic and Cycling Union was held in Hamilton on Saturday night. 1 Campion’s 1 appeal against disqualification by the Marlborough centre for alleged wrong performances' was upheld. By this decision he received a hundred pound prize in a race at the Blenheim meeting. Tho Marlborough hentro was instructed to inquire into the performances of other competitors ‘ claiming tho title to the second prize. On the recommendation of the Hawke’s Bay centre James Butler’s name was removed from the disqualification lists. Tlra system of awarding record certificates is to bo abandoned. It was decided that as there was nor direct evidence that Trembarth and McLauchlan took an active part in conniving at the “ringing In” of Greig tho matter bo allowed to drop. The rules arc to he revised, particularly regarding cycling and the control of motor cycling for next conference. Michelsoh was reinstated as an amateur cyclist on tho recommendation of the North Otago centre. Charges of being unable to obtain information
wore brought against secretary Fraser by the North Canterbury centre. Full correspondence was read, after which the executive completely 1 exonerated Fraser. The question was discussed of an inquiry into the working of the North Canterbury centre, but no action was taken.
