The trial of Moir for' murdering Trcvascus on October 31st has been opened. The evidence was similar to that at the coronial inquiry? GERMAN DISCOVERIES. (Received 30, 9.0 a.pi-) Sydney, January 30. Dr Fizzi, a German scientist, has arrived from a twelve months’ exploration of the German Solomon Islands. In the island of Bougainville he discovered two tribes who had never seen a white man. They lived in the mountains and wore the remnants of the real aboriginal population. In the German Solomons, the Bismarck Archipelago and German Guinea large tracts awaited scientific exploration. Numerous tribes never come in contact with Europeans.
