Davidson Glasgow, under date December 14: — Continental Butters:—The market this week has shown a considerable mprovement and prices aro Is to 2s per cwt higher; stocks arc also well cleared. Telegraphic advices from Copenhagen indicate that the market there is firm and the quotation today has been declared unchanged. Danish and Swedish.—Total arrivals vf Danish this week show a decrease •f 935 casks. The market has been fairly active, stocks are entirely clear'd, and buyers have had to pay Is to 2s per cwt. more for their requircnents. We quote strictly choicest quality 139 s to 140 s. Siberian.—The arrivals tin’s week do not total 2000 casks; there has been a brisk active demand for all qualities, choicest goods fetched 124 sto 1265, riioico 118 sto 1225. with secondary ■/ory scarce, and wanted at 114 s to lie's. French :—The market continues firm ind arrivals veiw small. COLONIAL BUTTERS. Australian:—The arrivals this week jomprise 46,773 boxes per S.b. Oi.jova”; the “Cevic” with 2,218 boxes ,virile the “Palma” is also duo with 3,761 boxes. A large quantity of household furniture and sundries sold at prices pleasing to sellers.
