OUR PROVINCE.

THE MOUNTAIN "AND THE MILK INDUSTRY. CINE OPERATOR ON THE SPOT. For some time past the Chamber of Commerce has been endeavouring to place a few of the beauty spots of Stratford and its environments, and glimpses of its great industry, on the cinematograph screen. Rut moving picture operators are hard to secure, and after failing with the representative of Messrs Pathe Freres, the matter was dropped, though not lost sight of.

Recently the Chamber got in touch with the Hon. T. Mackenzie, and from him learnt that it was possible to secure the services of the Government operator. The Minister promised to see that Stratford was included in his itinery, and has been true to his word.

This morning Mr J. B. Richards, secretary, Chamber of Commerce, informed a representative of the “Stratford Evening Post” that Mr J. McDon dd, cinematograph export, was in town, and has been busy taking views. Ho has visited Dawson’s Falls, and “done” the mountain thoroughly. For the dairying industry, ne has taken views of herds being milked by the machines, and has also taken every phase of the butler-making process at the Stratford and Kaupokonui dairy factories.
