STRATFORD V. MANATA. A match- was commenced yesterday on the showgrounds between the Manaia and Stratford Clubs. Too ground was in good order, and the local team, who batted first, put up a fair score, which would have been considerably. lessened if the visitors had held a few more of the catches offered. Dunlop was dropped very c irly in his innings, and retaliated by putting the ball twice in succession over the rails. Boyes played a capital ir rings of 1 29, not out.
