At a meeting of the committee of the Stratford Amatenr Operatic Spoity, held on Tuesday evening, it waft resolved to commence practise immediately on H.M.S, Pinafore. Th,o scores' are to hand, and the first practise will take place in the Parish Hall on Monday next, at-8 p.m., and subsequent rehearsals on every succeeding Monday night. In consequence or these practices the Boy Scouts will meet for training on Tuesday evenings in future. Members should roll up' ih force, as it is intended jto produce •‘Pinafore” as early as possible. -.lntending new members should make application to the secretary or membqfa of the committee. 1 ' ■ , ' ' Lord Roberts is fighting very hard to secure compulsory service for the citizen soldiers of Great Britain; Somp time or other England may oomo to grips with some other nation, and trained soldiers will bp needed.
