At a meeting of the Council of the Now South AValos Alliance, tho delegates who participated in tho New Zealand prohibition campaign detailed their impressions. One stated that a most powerful factor in the cause of prohibition was the enthusiastic support of the Labour Party. The Rev. Hammond declared that, having been in every no-license area in the Dominion, lie was more than ever convinced of the value and effectiveness of nodicense. He re-asserted that he never said anything which warranted Archbishop Redwood using his name in connection with the use of wine for sacramental purposes. S.A. HOUSE DISSOLACED. Evidence before the Sugar Com miss’on was. that if the duty was taken off sugar it would be the salvation of the small fruit-growers. ~
