ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
(Per Press Association.! Wellington, January 16. John Howell, married, 39 years of Age, residing at Kelburne, was admitted to the hospital suffering from an incidental overdose of chlorodyne. Ho s progressing favourably. Shortly before noon to-day an elderly woman called at the residence "f Sirs. Hymcs and was shown into her drawing-room. She asked for a glass of water, but before she cotdd take it she fell on the floor and expired. Mrs. Byrnes'knew the woman about seven years ago in Christchurch. Deceased was then living in Lichfield Street, and practised clairvoyancy, but does not know her name. Deceased was about 60 years of age. The body awaits identification at the morgue, A Dunedin, January 16. | A five-year-old girl, named Marjory Campbell, was the victim of a fatal accident at Mosgiel to-day. While sho was lighting matches her clothing canght lire, and she was so severely Turned that death ensued shortly afterwards.
