IMPORTANT IMPROVEMENTS

Auckland, January 17
Dir Honrv, the oil expert, says Fanning Island lias been sold by Father Rugior to a well-known British naval shipbuilding firm with the approval of the Government. The lagoon was to he converted into a deep wa + er harbour with good anchorage, ”ud used as a naval coaling station. Father Rugior is now hound/for England to complete negotiations.
