PRICKLY PEAR ERADICATION. (Received 12, 10.50 a.m.) Brisbane, January 12. A conference on the subject of the eradication of prickly pear will be neld on February Bth. The post is assuming alarming proportions in the northern portion of the State. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN HARVEST. (Received 12, 10.50 a.m.) Adelaide, January 12. The results of the wheat- harvests in many districts are better than anticipated. Tiie revised returns show that the crop will probably exceed 21,000,000 bushels.
