LIMITING RENTS.

TO ALLEVIATE DISTRESS AMONG WORKERS. .. A, ,G. WORKABLE SCHEME WANTED. Sydney, January 10. A Labour Council deputation asked Mr Bceby to introduce a Limitation of Rents Bill with a view to alleviating distress amongst workers, consequent on the high rents. He regretted the deputation did not furnish a practical scheme for limiting rents. If a workable scheme were submitted the Government would consider it. ■
