AN EX-COMMONER’S ASHES SCATTERED. THEFT THE CAUSE. (Received 6, 9.55 a.m.) London, January 5. Tho grave of a former M.P., Mr. John C. MacDonald, was opened at Sligo, the urn removed from tho oaken casket, and the ashes scattered. Tho opinion of the police is that the miscreants intended to steal the casket in tho belief that it was silver.
