FIRE BRIGADE FETE.
THE CARNIVAL APPROACHING 113 FINALE. LAST TIME TO-NIGHT. The “Dancing Tour of the World,” to use a colloquial expression, has "caught on.” Last night there was a good house, the dress circle being ilmost packed. To-night, being the last opportunity Stratford people will aave or seeing tne Carnival, another good house is certain. The principal change in the programme last night was the inclusion of Mephistophlos in the bill of fare. His Most Satanic Majesty was in an amorous vein, and sang a love song in a voice that much resembled Mr T. A. Wilson’s. A feature of the entertainment was tiia performance of Miss Eileen Bernard, who has established nerself as the most popular of the performers. She was encored several rimes last night, her bright manner and pretty voice being apparently appreciated to the full. Tnongli there were one or two incidents in the Electric Swing Song that were not intentional on the part of the management, the piece went very well, Die striking effect produced by the lignts earning unstinted applause. Most of the items on tho programme, and a few new ones, were repeated last night with success, patrons throughout being quite enthusiastic over-the dancing and : singing. { At least half-a-dozen people have found the charms,of the Fete so, seductive' as to go every iiight to th 6 short'. It is a bit late to acquire the habit now, but all those who have-not-yet seen, the “Dancing Tour of the, ,Vv orld” ; . should certainly not miss this, the last opportunity.
