TTK FOR CHAMPIONSHIP. (Per Press Association.) Napier, January a. The eleventh round of On' chess tournament was completed to-day. (ivies heat (Jriersou, Mason heat Jones, Miles heat Hicks, Janies heat Connell, Jonrdain heat Severne, Felling heat Sainshnry. The issue rested ou t!ie result of the Gyles-Grierson Kamo. The former gained the advantage in the early stages of the game, and pressing home his attack, forced (Irierson’s resignation on the 36th move. The positions at the end of this round were;—Mason 7." points, Gyles 7.V. Grierson 7, Hicks (5.1, Jonrdain fit, Miles 0, Kelling {!, James o, Sainshnry 5, Severne 3.1, Connell 2, Jones 2. Mason and Gyles are playing off for the championship this afternoon.
