FIRE BRIGADE FETE.
A CROWDED HOUSE
It must have been very gratifying to those who have worked so har'd to make the “Dancing Tour of the World” a success, to see their efforts finding such appreciation ns the big house last night indicated. Applause, it is true, has been spontaneous right through the week, but a crowded house, after all, is the truest indication of merit. The chief alteration in the programme last night, was the addilion of an amusing little sketch, entitled “Robbing the* Hen Roost,” Miss Elliott did her part, as she has always done here, excellently, and tho Masters Grubb ably seconded her. Mc-phis-tophelos, evidently, found ton much work on hand to attend at the Town Hall last night. It is stated that lie had ordered a new costume from Wellington, so as to appear in his best, hut tailors disappointed him, and consequently he will not arrive on the beards till to-night.
