CHINESE REVOLT.
SUN-YAT-SEN WILL DETHRONE THE MANCHUS. AND THEN RESIGN. Shanghai, January 4. Dr. Sun-Yat-Sen was enthusiastically welcomed at Nanking, and saluted by 21 guns. He swore to dethrone the Manchus, and then resign, enabling the people to select a president of a United China. The new calendar was proclaimed at Nanking as from January 1 (New Year’s Day). TROOPS GOING TO CANTON. (Received 5, 10.30 a.m.) Hongkong, January 4. The twenty-ninth Baluchis and some Royal Artillery are proceeding to Canton.
