In the New Year honours list three peers are created, including Sir Alfred Thomas, M.P. Ten Baronets are created, including Sigismund Neumann, Lucas Ralll head of Ralli Bros.), Leonal Phillips, M.P. Thirty-four Knights are created, including Joseph Beechan, Rider Haggard, Professor Henry Jones, and Frederick Wedmore. Commanders of the Bath : Sir Charles Lucas (member of the Victorian Order), Sir Bertram Macennal. The title of “Honourable” has been granted to Judges of the High Court of Australia, the Supreme Courts of Australian States, New Zealand, South Africa, and Newfoundland. Sir J. Prendergast, ex-Chief Justice of New Zealand, is allowed to bear the title. SIXTY-FIVE KING’S MEDALS AWARDED. AUSTRALIANS INCLUDED. London, January 1. In connection with the New Year honours the King’s Medal is awarded to Go, of which twenty-nine are from the overseas dominions, including a number of Australians.
