RIFFS DRIVEN ALONG THE
KEPT RIVER
GENERAL GRAVELY WOUNDED
Madrid, December 29
A general Spanish advance was made yesterday which drove the Riffians along the Ivert river, killing 300. General Ros was gravely wounded. Two were killed and sixty-seven wounded.
Eight thousand reinforcements have been ordered to the front.

THE SPANISH LOSSES
(Received 30, 8.35 a.m.) Madrid, December 29.
The Spanish losses in the recent engagement with the Riff's included one colonel, six officers, and sixty-one men killed and eighteen officers and 210 men wounded. The Riff's are again assembling in large numbers to renew the attack.
