NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. SPOR'I'S AT HAWERA. ON Ist January Trains will leave New Plymouth 7.40 a.m. and 9.25 a.m., Te Wera 8.5, arriving Hawora 11.9 a.m. and 12.35 p.m., and returning from Hawera at 4.5 p.m. and 5.50 p.m., for Te Wera and New Plymouth. The usual 4.5 p.m. goods train, with passenger car attached, from Hawera to New Plymouth, will NOT run. A special Passenger Train will leave Hawera 4.5 p.m. for New Plymouth. Holders of Excursion Tickets cannot travel to Hawera by the South Mail or return by the North Mail on Ist January. The usual 11.15 a.m. train, Hawera to New Plymouth, will NOT run. RACES AT STRATFORD—Ist AND 2nd JANUARY. GALA DAY AT NEW PLYMOUTH—--Ist JANUARY. On Ist January, Passenger Train will leave New Plymouth 9.25 a.m., Stratford 11.35, arriving Hawera 12.35 p.m., and returning from Hawera 5.50 p.m., Stratford 5.33 p.m. and 7.8 p.m., for Waitara and New Plymouth. Special Train will leave Te Wera 8.5 a.m., arriving Stratford 9.50 a.m. Train leaves Stratford at 10.20 a.m., for Te Wera. The usual 7 p.m. train will be delayed to leave Stratford 7.45 p.m. for To Wera. A Special Passenger Train will leave Wanganui G. 20 a.m., arriving Stratford 11.25 a.m., and returning from Stratford at 5.50 p.m. for Wanganui. Special Passenger Trains will leave Hawera 7.5 a.m. and 7.20 a.m., Stratford 8.40 and 9.5', arriving New Plymouth 10.30 a.m. and 10.55 a.m., and returning from New Plymouth at 5.32 p.m. and 6.25 p.m., for Te Wera and Hawera. On 2nd January a special train will leave Now Plymouth 9.45 a.m., arriving Stratford 11.30 a.m., and returning from Stratford at 5,33 p.m. for Waitara and New Plymouth.
