AUCKLAND MEETING CONTINUED.

(Per Press Association.) Auckland, December 29

The Auckland Racing Club’s summer meeting was continued at Ellerslie tins afternoon in line weather. There was a large attendance. Results :

Bowen Handicap.—Royal Arms 1, Watch Chain 2, llarenoa 3. Scratched: Outward, Caedmon, and Maria Regina. Harenoa made the running lo .the distance, where Royal Arms and Watch Chain challenged, the former winning by two lengths. Time, 1 min 19 l-ssec.

Islington Plate.—Equitas 1, Bobrikoif 2, Los Angeles 3. All started. The winner led all the way, and won easily by three lengths. Time, Irnin 42 i-osec.

Visitors’ Handicap.—Dawn 1, Faunas 2, Jack Dolaval 3. Scratched: Equitas, Gipsy Bell, Goldsize, Lucille, Lady Dot, Cuckoo. Dawn and Faunus were iu front at the distance, and after a desperate race Dawn won by half a length. Time, linin 32>-sec.

MANAWATU—LAST DAY

Palmerston, December 29

The weather. was fine, hut threatenng for the final day of the Manawatu .Racing Club’s summer meeting. r J'he attendance was very satisfactory. Results : Whitmore Handicap.—-Queen of Scots .1, Midian 2, Ladrone 3. Scratched: Mangaroa. 'A on by a neck. Time, linin' 49 J.-ssec. Te Matai Hurdles.—To Whetu 1, Leolahter 2, Seaman 3. All started. Won easily by two lengths, four lengths between second and third. Tim'd, 2min 55. sec. Clandehoyo Welter.—Cork 1, Marton 2, Attention 3. All started. Won hy ! a neck, a length between secona and third. Time, Imin 35sec; r. 1 ■__!
