THE LARGEST BEEF SCHEME IN THE WORLD. ENORMOUS OPERATIONS. (Received 26, B.b a.m.) New York, December 28. Preliminary details are published of an American-Canadian syndicate, with Murdo McKenzie as president, to establish at Sao Paulo, Brazil, the largest beef project in the world. Nine million acres have been acquired with the intention to export chilled meat to Europe. Working with a steamship syndicate, the meat syndicate hopes ultimately to open the British and German markets to live cattle, purchasing at the outset the host strains of Herofords and Durhams to improve South American stock.
