ORANGE BLOSSOMS.

MOMNE—MILLS

The quiet of Denbeigh Road was pleasurably broken yesterday afternoon by a pretty wedding solemnised at tlx6 residence of the bride’s parents, who are well-known throughout the district. The principals to the event were Mr. Albert Victor Morine of Apiti, Fielding, and Miss Ivy Muriel Mills, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs W. T. Mills. The bride was handsomely gowned in_ a lovely white silk Empire frock, trimmed exquisitely with duchesse embroidery and wore a pretty veil decorated and surmounted withorange blossoms. She also earned a dainty bouquet of white Canterbury bells and roses neatly arranged with asparagus by Miss Olasen. Misses Violet Mills, sister of the bride, and Eliza Graham, of Fielding, wore charming bridesmaids and wore beautifully dressed in blue silk taffetas suitably trimmed. Mr. Bert Morine, brother of the groom, and Mr. Leslie Mills carried out their duties satisfactorily as best man and groomsman respectively. At the conclusion of the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. B. Mctson, an adjournment was made to the Denbeigh Road school where a sumptuous breakfast was spread amid many decorations. The toasts were enthusiastically honoured being spoken to as follows: “The Bride and Bridegroom,” Mr. Stanley Mills; “Tho Bridesmaids,” Mr. V. Morine; “The Parents of Bride and Bridegroom,” Rev. B. Matson ; “Absent friends,” Miss Olasen; “The Bachelors,” Miss Violet Mills. Speeches were also given by Mr. B. Morine, Mr. W. T. Mills and Mr. Olasen. A table contained quite an array of splendid gifts, ornamental and valuable testifying to the high esteem which both parties are hold by their many friends. During the afternoon Mr. McAllister photographed the bridal party at a picturesque spot in the bush adjacent to the bride’s home. Mrs Morine travelled in a navy blue tailor made costume with a Saxe blue hat to match. The happy couple left in the evening on route to their new borne in Fielding where they will be followed by many hearty wishes for their future happiness. ' 1
