London, December 22. The Gackwar of Baroda declares that the “Times” statements are greatly exaggerated. He characterises the alleged employment of extremists in liis household as a gross perversion.

A GROSS PERVERSION

The Gackwar of Baroda is one of the most cultured rulers of India, and he rules over one of the richest and most prosperous states in the fertile province of Jnjeral, in the North Bombay Presidency. The capital of the state is called'Baroda. It is a fortified city on the Biswamintri River; is connected with Bombay by railway, and has a population of 101.818. The population of the State is 2,185,005, and the area 8570 square miles.
