THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S SCHEME. MARCONI COMPANY ALERT. (Received 22, 9.45 a.m.) Melbourne, December 22. The Marconi Company has formally intimated to the Federal Government that it intends to take such action as is necessary to protect its patents. Mr. Frazer states that the Government is proceeding with the system. It intends to register the stations at Hobart, Melbourne, Port Moresby, and Cooktown or Thursday Island, each at a cost of £I6OO. The high power stations at Fremantle and Sydney will cost £4600.
