AMALGAMATION OF ENGLISH | LINES. SOUTH AFRICAN MAILS. (Received 19, 10.55, a.m.) London, December 18. The price of the Union Castle S.S. Co.’s snares has doubled in a month. The purchase price is now £32 10s for ten-pound shares. The Royal Mail, being non-confexence, absorbs the Union line. It is understood that the amalgamation tenders for African mails.
