GOOD GOLD.
A THREE-FOOT GOLD-BEARING REEF. RESPECTABLE ASSAYS. (United Press Association.) Reefton, December 19. After driving 2000 feet the St. George Goldmining Company, working near New Big River, struck a 3ft gold-bearing reef showing gold. The assays of ore arc from 2oz 7dwt, and the average is loz -Idwt. The property is chiefly held by local people. ' The Pactolns dredge washed up 37 oz 7dwt for 115 hours.
