Atlantic shipments 271,000, Pacific 150,000; total to Europe 1,010,000, including Argentine 1.000, Russia 195.000, Dauubian 194,000, India 76,009, Australasia 85,000. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. Wellington, December 18. Following is the High Coin mi ssi oner’s report dated London, December 16th (quotations unless otherwise specified are average market prices on spot) : Mutton.—The market is ffrrn. There is dull sale for all qualities, but stocks on hand are light and small shipments arc expected. Canterbury 7 4jkl. North Island 4d. Lamb.—There is better demand for Australian. Supplies are increasing. Now Zealand stock is exhausted. Australian 4d to 4|d. Beef.—The market is very firm. A shipment of North American has not been made for three weeks. Stocks of New Zealand on hand are light. New Zealand binds 3Jd, New Zealand fores 2 i{-d. Butter.—The market is firm with good demand. The average price for the week for choicest New Zealand is 1325. Australian 1275, Argentine 128 s, Danish 138 s, Siberian 1265. Cheese.—The market is firm, with more enquiry. The average price for (ho week for finest New Zealand cheese was 60s. Hemp.—The market is quiet, but steady 7, at about the quotations already given. Now Zealand good fair, spot, £l9 10s; New Zealand failgrade, £l9; fair current Manila £2O; forward shipment. New Zealand good fair £2O; New Zealand fair grade, £10; fair current Manila, £2O 10s. The output from Manila for the week was 26,000 bales. Wool.—The market remains firm for all grades. Wheat.—The market is very quiet at last quotations—vi/-., long-berried 35s 6d per quarter, short-berried 34s od per ouarter.

Oats.—The market is firm, with an improved demand. Now Zealand short Sparrow-bills, ox granary 7 , per quarter of 3841 b, 23s 6d; Danish, per qu-’rter of 3201b5, 19s 6d. Beans.—New 7 Zealand, f.a.q., new crop, per 50411), 365. The market is firm owing to reduced supplies.

Peas.—The market is very 7 quiet, and nothing is doing. Now Zealand peas (Partridge) per 5041 b, 395. Cocksfoot Seed.—The market is firm. There arc light stocks on hand.
