Princess Alexandra fainted on landing. Messrs Essery and Halkett had the narrowest of escapes. The Delhi’s mails and luggage are being landed, and the salvors hope to save the ship. FRENCH SAILOR'S BODY RECOVERED. AN IMPOSING CEREMONY. (Received 18, 8.45 a.in.) Tangier, December 17. The passenger with a broken leg has been landed. The body of a French sailor was recovered and shipped to France, with imposing ceremony. The British and French legation officers and British bluejackets wore present. The Princess Royal sent a wreath. FURTHER THANKS FOR THE .FRENCH NAVY. LETTER FROM KING GEORGE. (Received IS, 8.15 a.in.) Paris, December 17. King George has telegraphed to President Fallaircs, thanking the French Navy, and regretting the loss of bravo men.
