The Government has congratulated the officers and crew of the Triant on the gallantry displayed in connection with the stranding of the Delhi. CONGRATULATIONS. (Received 15, 11.10 a.rrt.) London, December 14. Sir George Reid has telegraphed to the Fifes his congratulations on their rescue. SYSTEMATIC SPYING. SENSATION CAUSED BY SCHULTZ’S SENTENCE. PAYMENT TO DOCK MAN. (Received 15, 8.30 a.m.) Berlin, December 14. Schultz’s imprisonment will bo with hard labour. The severity of the sentence caused a sensation. Hipisch. who was engineer in the dock yard, alleged that he had been promised forty marks weekly by Schultz. The Judge stated he made a large collection of plans after a couple of interviews in January and transferred them to emissaries in England. The plans provided a far-reaching enlightmeut and showed a most intimate knowledge of military and naval affairs. Von Maack gave written information regarding the commissioning of the North German Lloyd, and Hamburg-American steamers when Wulf was employed in the North Gorman machinery works at Bremen.
