MR. WILLIS CAUSES FURTHER DISORDER.
DISCUSSION ON SALARY
(Received 15, 10.25 a.m.) Sydney. December 15. The Assembly were still discussing the estimates in the early morning. The item of the Speaker’s salary occasioned a long discussion and strong Opposition comment was made on the Speaker’s alleged misdeeds. This led to uproar, members hurling uncomplimentary epithets across the chamber. For a while the deputy-chairman of .itlie :■ committee was unable to keep control. Finally the item was forced by an application of the closure .
