The Dominion Meteorologist telegraphed this afternoon : —"Westerly strong winds to gale, veering southerly strong winds to gale; expect unsettled and cloudy weather; rain probable ; rivers rising; glass tall slowly, but rise after 16 hours. Weather probably colder.
