A fault has developed at the Earrenjack dam, delaying the application of the water for irrigation for the year. • SHIPS OFFICERS’ WAGES. (Received 9, 11 a.m.) Melbourne, December 9. In the Merchant Shipping Guild case the President of the Federal Arbitration Court refused to include companies who are parties to previous agreements, still running. This excludes from the present claims, the Commonwealth Steamship Owners’ Association and six inter-State companies belonging to it, also the Melbourne Steamship Company. SELF-ADMIN ISTERED STRYCHNINE. (Received 9, 11 a.m.) Melbourne, December 9. The inquest on Baker showed death was due to self-administered strychnine.
